Can We Cover Your Boiler?

Our care can cover domestic boilers up to 70kW that don’t need to be removed from the wall to be serviced/repaired and are available to our customers in most of the BH postcode areas.

How Do We Keep Costs Down?

We want to keep the cost of our care as low as possible for everyone whilst ensuring
we’re able to always deal with urgent problems quickly.

To do this we try to reduce the number of unnecessary call outs by charging a small £50 call out fee each time you ask us to attend your property, except for scheduled boiler and gas fire servicing appointments. All other costs are then covered under your care plan including any parts or further visits to the same problem.

We’re also always happy to offer help and advice over the phone, so call us about any non-urgent matters or visit gwesouthern.co.uk/help where you’ll find trouble-shooting guides to common problems such as how to defrost frozen condensing boiler pipes.

You've Chosen Your Plan, What's Next?

We’ve designed our care, so we’ve fewer exclusions to similar plans from the other well known companies.

We’ve a vested interest in the condition of your gas, plumbing and heating services and that benefits both parties, which means we can cover more for you.

Our care does feature some exclusions and/or limitations, to minimise risks and keep our costs as low as possible for you, but we’ll always be totally transparent about these.

If Your Boiler Is Less Than 9 Months Old

You’ll need our safety service costing £35 and our free health check to make sure it’s eligible. We need to check that your boiler’s installed correctly and that the gas pressures meet the manufactures specifications. If we find it’s eligible, we’ll carry out a safety service there and then along with the free health check.

We’ll inspect any other services you would like us to cover too. If everything you want us to cover is eligible, we’ll set up your care plan and your payments for it and your first boiler service will take place at a pre-arranged date 12 months later. We’ll confirm your details before arranging an appointment.

If Your Boiler Is More Than 9 Months Old

We need to service your boiler and we’ll discount the cost to £65 which includes your free health check. If we find it is eligible, we’ll service it there then and carry out the health check. Your boiler care and any other care you’ve applied for and are eligible for, will then be set up along with your payments. Your next boiler service will take place at a pre-arranged date 12 months later. If for any reason, your boiler isn’t eligible for our service care we won’t service it, unless you’d still like us to.

I’m an existing customer

If you’re an existing customer and we’ve serviced your boiler recently then we’ll have the details of your last service and just need to carry out a free health check. If your service is due within 3 months of your application, we’ll offer a discounted rate of £50 to carry this out at the time of the health check.

Unsafe Boilers

If we find your boiler is unsafe for any reason, we may have to turn it off (with your approval) or notify the gas emergency services.

Our boiler care plan may cover the cost to rectify this situation, but if not, all servicing obligations will be put on hold until either the boiler has been replaced or you’ve had it repaired to a safe standard.

If we’re unable to carry out the work during our visit for any reason, our £50 call-out fee will apply for any return visit required to meet our servicing obligations.

We want to make the process of getting a new boiler easy so we offer a straight-forward upfront service completed to the highest standards.
